I went to America in November.Before going on the trip, I was very excited for my first a time traveling abroad.While I was very disturbed about my English, presentaion, condition...What with this and that I set our for Los Angeles.I suffer easily from motion sickness.It goes without saying that the airplane ride made me feel so sick.It had been quite an 11 hours.
On the second day, our class went to Marina High School with Ms. Kawabe.My buddy's name is Sakakura John talked to me actively.So I could relax.
We did our presentation three times.I never expected that we had to do our presentations many times.I was worried if origami suffice.So we modified the plan to cope well with the problem.After pizza lunch with my buddy, we moved from the school building to the tennis courts and played tennis.I couldn't play tennis very good but I really enjoyed it.
What I learned on the school trip to America is the importance the competence of words and conversation.I want to study English more and more and go to Los Angeles again.

My first trip to America
My trip to America
First we went to Farmer`s Market. I drank a hundred percent orange juice there. It was much delicious for me.
On the second day, we went to Marina High School and we took the class with our buddy. In Japanese class , I was called on for the answer. So I wrote the answer on the white board. I was surprised because American students studied Kanzi , too. They studied very hard. The teather was very gentle so I had a nice time there. We had the pizza party for lunch. My buddy's name is Vicky Woen. She is very pretty. She tried hard to speak Japanese , but I couldn't speak English well. Then I thought that I must study English hard.
On the third day, we went to Universal Studio Hollywood. Sponge Bob was very cute, so I bought many souvenir there. The haunted house was too horrible for me but it was interesting.
The thing that surprised me the most was character of American people. Before going on the trip I thought that American people were stern but it wasn't true. I was surprised at the quantity of the meal. Now, I love America very much. I would like to go to America again.
Dfference between America and Japan
Shimada high school students went to Los Angeles in November.
I was nervous before I went there. Because I am not good at English, and in addition, I had never been to foreign country until at this point.
When I arrived at Los Angeles, I was surprised at the truck size and the warmth of temperature. American truck, are twice the size of Japanese trucks. I thought it is because America has a large population so there will be a lot to carry. The temperature of Los Angeles was warmer compared with the temperature of Shimada. So I could be comfortable when I stayed Los Angeles.
I went to a local high school on the second day.
One difference between American high school and Japanese high school is American students don't change their shoes at school. We put on mules at school.
My partner is very kind. Because she tried to understand my English. I could speak English a little through her conduct. I can't thank her enough.
Really, I thought I would hate going to Los Angeles before I went there. But this school trip was really pleasant.
I want to go to Los Angeles again.
My Thoughts about American High schools
I was impressed by American high school.I went to Marina high school.It was a very big school.There are 2711 students.I was surprised that there was only a first floor and many students commute to the school.It was beyond my imagination.
My buddy's name was Andrew Ngo.He was very kind and cheerful.He introduced a lot of his friends to me.I thought that he had many friends because he was very cheerful.
Our presentation had succeeded.I was tensed for our presentation.I was afraid that I couldn't make myself understood to them in English.But they could understand my English.I thought that it was important to say things clearly.American high school's class was active.When I watched another group's presentation,American high school students were very active.I played tennis with my buddy,my friend,my friend's buddy in the six period.I didn't think that I would play tennis,so I enjoyed playing it.I felt that I could communicate with them to play it.
I wanted to talk more with my buddy.American people were positive and kind.They said "thank you"with a smile.I think that we should follow them.Because I learned many things in America,it was a very good experience.
The people I met during my trip to America
Most of people who I met during my trip to America were cheerful and full of curiosity.
For example, the people I met at the Farmers Market were very kind and interesting.He told me hello kindly.He took my friend and my photograph.When I could not open the cover of the orange juice, I had a stranger help me with it.My buddy whose name is Nicole and her friend were kind and cheeful, too.They talked to me without being tense.The people who knew Japanese told me Konnitiha or Hazimemasite.
I was surprised at American people.they are more friendly and cheerful than Japanese people. I have heard that it is said that a apanese is conservative.I went to U.S.A and felt it directly.I had felt it directly.I had felt conservative is Japanese culture,but we should not think it is a matter of course.I think that it we should be more diplomatic and more innovative from now on.
Therefore we should act from the imminent place.For example, it is to study English and to speak with a stranger.It will become very important for us in future.

My Impression of California
One similarity between Japan and America is the weather. I did not feel America was so cold. One difference between American high school and Japanese high school is how we come to school. American high school students can drive a car but Japanese high school students cannot drive a car. I was very surprised to learn that American people are much bigger than us. Before going on the trip I thought America is very dangerous and American people are not kind, but it was not true. I noticed that the students are allowed to eat snacks and drink juice during the class. After visiting America, I would advise a Japanese person to become friendlier because American people are very friendly. The most impressive place that I saw was the theme park, Universal Studios. because there were only two or three rides there. One difference between American hotels and Japanese ones is American hotels do not have to take off our shoes but in Japanese hotels, we have to take off our shoes. I do not want to go America because their food was so bad and I cannot understand what American people said. So, I learned that I love Japan and my home.
My first traveling abroad
The travel left a strong impression.This travel is my first time traveling abroad.
America was entirely different from what I had imagined.A school and food and drink,and so on.Most of the scene is school exchange.
My partner is a boy whose hair is long. He looked quite mature for his age. He was very kind.His friend to me in a friendly way.So I had a very good time.The open space where we ate lunch was as if a carnival. Many people gathered and talked in loud voices.
I was surprised because the open space was in the school.
It was very different from Japanese school.
All things of America was a large scale.
The other side,I went to Los Angeles disney land.I got on many attractions. I enjoyed it very much.I bought a souvenir there. Also I enjoyed choosing a souvenir.
This trip was a valuable experience.I thought that I must study English more and more.And I want to go to various countries like Europe,Italy and Spain,the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.So I must study language different from English.And I want to study culture of those cultures.I will work harder.
My first trip to America
This is my first trip to a foreign country,America.
Before going on the trip I was afraid but it wasn't true. It was wonderful. People were very kind and happy.
In Marina High School,my buddy was Cymone. She is very cute. We became best friends. The thing that surprised me the most was Marina students can speak Japanese and write hiragana. They asked me a lot of Japanese about a difference of meaning. Of course,Cymone could speak few Japanese,too. Because she chose Japanese class. We talked with English and Japanese. That was very interesting for us.
American foods was very sweet...and very big!!! Of course,Americans are very big,too...(*-*;
American foods were colorful. For example,juice,snack,chocolate and so on.It tasted...good!
The most impressive place I saw was the Holly Wood.The reason is because there was a lot of star's hands models. I like Jonny deep. There was Jonny's!! I took photos.
This trip influenced me a lot of things.
I want to go to America again. And Iwant to meet Cymone again. America is very big coutry. People's heart,too.
I'll remember this trip and a meeting with American friends Forever!!!
Special days
On the second day, I visited the American school. At first I was surprised at the size of the school, the numerousness of the student. All the American students spoke one's opinion during a class positively. I thought that we should have followed the aggressiveness. One difference between American students and Japanese students is American students have good boy and girl relation. Why is there such difference? Is it a difference of the culture?
When we take a photograph in Japan, we do a peace sign. I was surprised that they did not do peace sign in America.
My buddy was a girl. Her name is Samantha. I was tense very much at first. She talked to me willingly. On the coattails of her, I was able to be relaxed. The difference of the language made our communication difficult. I felt a lack of English some other time.
For one day that it spent with her and other friends, it was early that time was over very fun. So, at the time of parting, I was lonely. It was a special day for me.
My experience in the United States
I went to Los Angeles in the United States in the school trip. We visited a local school on the second day. Then I attended the class of mathematics and Japanese with my Buddy. And, I noticed the difference of the class of Japan and the United States.
The first difference is that there is no homeroom. Students attend the class of all subjects in each classroom from the beginning and are waiting for the students to come. In this, Japan is completely opposite.
Next, the appearance of the class is also different. The chance to make remarks by raising my hand decreased after having entered the high school. Because I am not confident whether my answer is correct and I think that answering by raising my hand is troublesome. However, in the United States, all students answered the question positively raising their hands.
These differences might be the influences of eagerness to attending the class. Compared with the appearance of Japan, the United States receives the impression of positively attending the class. I think that we should learn from the United States and renew the heart to learn.
This trip was a good chance to review my school life.
My treasure memories
I went to America for nobember 26th until 30th. This is my first trip to foreign countries.
Especially, I was impressed by the school visit. Before I went to American high school Iwas so nervous because I thought that maybe I couldn't talk with American friends. However I was excited to communicate to them, too.
My partner was Erin. I was so happy because I found that we have the same hobby which is to draw pictures. When I had a class in American school, I drew some pictures on her sketchbook the shimada high school uniform, anime characters and so on. Then she said with a smile, "Your picture is so good!", "Your high school uniform is cute!!". Other people said that, too. I was so glad. As a token of my gratitude, I will treasure that picture. And I thought that we were congenial by picture. It was fortunate for me that I like to draw picture.
I thought that I don't want to go to a foreign country before this school trip, but I don't think like that nowadays. I could have new friends, and I found I can communicate with a foreigner, even if I'm not good at English. So the journey was a good experience. I want to go to America again.
Ｍy memories at life
Until November 26th-November30th,I went to America. This was the first traveling abroad for me. So,I had gotten excited.
Especially,I remain in the impression was school visit. I went to Poly high school. I was surprised at so many students and kinds of races in there. This is different between Japan and America. I met my partner there. Her name is Chelsea. She was cheerful and kind. When I met her for the first time,I didn't know what talking about. Then,she said to me at once,"Hello. My name is Chelsea. Nice to meet you. We are friends!!"and with folded my arms. I was surprised!!!
However,I was very glad. It talked a lot with her. We spoke about families each other,favorite foods,hobby...etc.
But English which she speakes was quick for me. So,I asked back many times.I said,"I'm sorry.Please one more repeat?" She said,"Ok."with a smile. I felt sorry and more study English hard before I came to America. So I think I will work hard to study English.
I am happy to make a good friends in this trip. This experience is my memories at life. I hope I will go to America someday.

My trip in America was very very interesting. I had never been to America and had never ridden an airplane. American's food is very big! But it was very delicious. America is big city and everything is big!I was surprised.
American students were very kind to me.I am happy.My partner is a cute girl.I went to chemistry class with my partner. I don't like chemistry. I don't understand the japanese-speaking chemistry class. So of course,I don't understand English-speaking chemistry class. But,chemistry's teacher was very kind!
We went to Disneyland in Carifornia.I was very excited.I rode on many kind of rides.I took many picture,too.
This time this trip,I could feel my English power.I spoke a little easy English.But I didn't get and understand what local people spoke.So,I think of that I study English very hard! English is a common language in the world. If I speak English very well, I would talk about many people on the earth. I want to talk with them! So,I will study English very hard.
Next time,I think of that I want to go to Italy. And sometime,I want to go to all of the world.This trip is very important and very interesting for me!!!!!!!!
Ａbout Long Beach Polytechnic High School
I went to Long Beach Polytechnic high school. When it was my second trip to America. And it was our high school trip. My first trip was when I was 10 years old. Because of it I don't remember that trip. But I was deeply impressed with the second trip. What gave me most impression was Long Beach Polytechnic high school. I could make friends with American students, especially two girls. Their names are "Kimily" and "Carolyn". Kimily is my partner. Carolyn is Kazuki Shiraishi's partner. Kimily and Carolyn were thick as thieves. I exchanged my address with them so I will send a letter to Kimily and Carolyn. When I went to Long Beach Polytechnic high school. We have done the presen tation. The content of my presentation are about "Jiburi" , "New years day" and "Chopstick game". Their high school students looked very interested. Because I had a pleasent that time. And I think that time is not forgetable!!
The Place Iwent during my Trip to America
I went to the United States for the first time. And I took an airplane for the first time.
I was uneasy, Whether the airplane drops or not.However, it was possible to listen to music, and to watch the movie, so it was very good in the airplane.
Finally I arrived at the United States!! But, in the passport control,because I hadn't understood English, I was very embarrassed.
The second day, we went to POLYTECNIC High School. My group did the school introduction and presentation.I was so nervous, but American students talked too.I was happy.My partner is IREEN.I was not able to speak English though she talked to me a lot .I thought if only I can speak English...But I thought that it was important to know words more than grammar.Because I talked with her,I used only words.
In the future, I want to use in English more and more,and I want to go to the United States one more time.
Disney Land,Farmer's Market,Chinese Theater,Shopping Center...It was very exciting there.
I came to be able to calculate money and came to be able to use English a little.This trip was a good study.
Some day,I want to go to the United States again.
My Experience in the United States!
I met the great number of people on this trip.
Before going on the trip I thought the foreigner's reaction seems to be bad but it wasn't true.
Please take a picture together when asking, they answered pleasantly "ok!", and when noticing that we are Japanese, Japan liked, and talked.
It was the students at the high school that gave me that impression.
Doing our presentation in English worried me about whether we make it for the first time.
...the desire if the student's reaction is bad as uneasy :( ...
But all the students were good people. they spoke by using easy English for us, when progress did not go well, they listened hard. The reaction was good in above all and it enjoyed playing a game. And it was interested very much and it was really glad of Japan.
I learned a thing that the great number of people and met a lot of this trip. How strong are feelings of that want to be conveyed from a perfect grammar important? The world of the foreign country that doesn't become accustomed runs unexpectedly.
Hereafter, I wanted to speak fast without fearing English. This trip became a really good experience for me. The interest came to be popular among English more.
We want to express our gratitude to the teachers and parents who gave us this chance! :)
A valuable experience
It was a good experience at Poly High School.
I was very afraid until I visited there. Because my weak point is dealing with people and I can hardly speak English.
However, my uneasiness was gone when I joined forces with buddy. Buddy's name is "Laura" who is 14 years old. I spent time with her during lunch. In the meantime I talked with many American students. They spoke to me with a smile. When we introduced ourselves and took pictures, it was as if we had known each other for a long time.
Before visiting there I thought it would so long but it wasn't true. It past in an instant. I can hardly speak English but thanks to Laura I had a good time there.
I would like to visit America again if I had a chance. And, I want to become able to speak with many people in English.
I'm very glad to have visited there.

My impression of your school was that it was large. I was very surprised to learn that your school has 5000 students. But the thing that surprised me the most was a sociable atmosphere of the school. To be frank, before going on the visit I thought American high schools were dangerous places. But it wasn't true. The students looked happy and they took enjoyment in their school life. My travel jounal.
I went to United States on December 26, 2007. The plane was not comfortable. I was thirsty all the time while in the plane. But the air's view was very beautiful. I arrived in San Francisco. There were many interesting things. For example, there were many slanting roads. So I was very tired to walk. I went to the golden gate bridge. The bridge was very big. I could feel the gate's strength. Next, I was very hungry so I went to a hamburger shop. The American hamburger was too big. My stomach was full. When I paid in dollars, I was confused, because i was not used to using dollars and cents. Next, I went to Fishermans wharf. There was a big picture of a crab. Somehow, there were many birds. And I saw many seals near the sea. The seal's cry was sounding there. while I went back to hotel, I rode a cable car. It was five dollars. The cable car didn't have windows and walls. So I could see a lot of view. But it was a little dangerous. The view of San Francisco's night was very beautiful. I want to remember it forever. San Francisco was very interesting. I want to go to San Francisco, someday again. If you will go to America, I want you to visit San Francisco.

This is my first over sea travel. My face was clouded with anxiety. But my anxiety vanished at once. America is very interesting!! I found a big book store at the "FarmersMarket". I bought a darling picture book. I had an American hamburger for lunch. It was very very big! I was surprised! I took picture with the man. He was the living image of "Chaplin" at "Holly Wood".

I shall never forget visiting America. I would like to come back to America. This experience taught me a good lesson. We had a nice time.
My thoughts about American High Schools
I visited Los Alamitos high school. There are lots of people there. The school was very large. There were many classrooms. They would end the class and come out of the classroom as one. I was taken a back that there were so many students. We saw the class. One difference between American high schools and Japanese high schools is American students don't take off their shoes at school. The thing that surprised me the most was class. Because we saw the students and teacher eating in the class. On the desk, they put drinks and sweets, and snacks. A good many people don't eat but some people are eating and drinking always. Nobody was angry and nobody noticed. I felt freedom in a foreign country. The sight was unbelievable for our eyes. This school had people of all ages. They were learning in the classroom. American people were friendly to everyone. I had tension and worry. But they were speaking to me without constraint. I wanted to speak with my partner and classmates, but I don't know the words. The most important thing is to pronounce a word wrong. I thought I should study English harder. But I enjoyed school the excursion.
My memory in America
I went on a school trip in America on November 26th. I have not gone to America. I went to America for the first time. I was looking forward to going there. I rode in the plane for the first time. The clouds were very beautiful. The flight meal was good. The omelet was good for me. Carry on baggage check was highly. But I can speak English a little. I was happy to spread. I was very suprised to learn that American food is very big size. My stomach got full soon.
My partner was Alison. She is 14 years old. She is cheerful and a good girl. She is studying Japanese. Her Japanese was very good. I spoke English and she understood my English. I was happy. We took pictures. These pictures are my treasure. I want to see her one more time. Disneyland was very happy. Splash mountain was the most dreadful of all. My clothes got wet and cold. I don't want to ride it again. I love mickey and minnie. I could buy many gift for my family and myself.
I was happy, I could go to America. I learned a lot of things. And I have memories. I will study English more and I want to take a trip to America next time.
Good Visiting
I didn't think this would be the most important experience in my life.
At first, I thought that other countries were better than America for the school trip,
because I was scared to get on the airplane.It was different than I thought.
When we arrived at Los Angeles, I was very surprised.
There were many pretty houses and I was surprised by very big roads.
The second day, we visited Marina High School. My pair's name was Keely.
She was a very shy person. I was very happy. I didn't hear the English words that she spoke,
so she spoke very slowly for me. We talked and spent a lot of time while using gestures,
about Japan, her school life, favorite sports and our school trip. And I played grand hockey with
her. I could know a lot things about her during the short time.
She is a girl who has a very kind heart. After I had returned to Japan, I wrote a letter to her.
I want to remember these experiences and Iwant to meet her again sometime.

On the last day, we returned to Japan. I wanted to stay more.
I had many experiences in this school trip.
Lastly, American people came into contact with us were very kind with smiling.
I wanted to be such a kind person and be a smiling lady.

The Immigration officer greeted me with a smile when I was nervous.
I sometimes practiced model answers for immigration but the practice
was different. He asked to me "Is this your first trip?" I felt secure
about his questions. At last, he said to me "Have a good trip!!" I was happy.
So, my school trip started well. We arrived in San Francisco. A fine sky and
cold air awaited us. It was a great feeling. The weather conditions were the
same in Los Angeles,too. We were blessed by the weather during this school
trip. In Amerca, all of the things I saw were new, and looked wonderful.
I enjoyed everything. I had looked foward to this school trip for a long time.
I had a happy time. During this school trip, I often felt people's kindness.

Badminton club
Our clob has only girls.
They are very friendlly.
Badminton is not popular in japan because of it gym is old.
But they enjoy it as there nobbies by them selves in japan.
If you get 21point,you get one set.
If you get 2sets before opponent ,you can win.
We usually practice basic shot.
We also practise drive and recive and cut.

Japanese calligraphy
Japanese calligraphy is called “shodo” in Japanese.
I use a brush for writing.
The paper is not normal.
It is Japanese paper for calligraphy.
After writing, I covers inks on the paper with a blotting paper
Should wash the brush after writing, or it will harden.
In Shimada high school, Mr.Yui teaches it to us.
Subject:math
We are divided into three classes to study math.
We are studying "progression" now.
We learned functions in first grade.
Third-year students study very difficult things.
The speed of the class is so fast that me have difficuly in keeping up with it.
The math exam is very important and difficult.
In order to go to a national university, we must take the math exam.
Computer club
They are active in the computer room.
The computer room is on the fourth floor in the north school building.
They practice programing and typing because they can't use the internet.
They always enjoy using the computer in the club.
There are seventeen members.
The staff adviser to the computer club is Mr.Ido.
They can give official approval about a word processor.
Home EC
Home EC is the subject to study the way to live in the world.
It's teacher is Ms. Koizumi.
We are taught about cooking in this class.
We made pork miso soup, Nikujaga and pudding during cooking practice.
We learned about food stuff.
Besides that, we learned to sew in our home economics class.
We sewed coasters in our class.
We learn about houses, cooking, household economy, and so on.
Flower Arranging
They wear Yukata.
Yukata is a Japanese traditional summer dress.
We wear Kimono in winter.
We use a needle point flower holder when we arrange flowers.
We use many kinds of flowers.
We show many flowers at the school festival.
Many people come to the school festival to look at us arranging flowers.
Swimming Club
The Swimming club has only one member.
The teacher is Mr. Fujiwara.
Our school has one pool.
It is 25 meters long.
They practice in the pool.
They wear swimsuits.
And they do swimming.
They enter contests.
They are swimming in the water.

Our school song has a long history.
We sing our school song during the entrance ceremony.
In july, our school's baseball club has a trial game at the National Conrention.
We support our school's baseball club.
Then, we sing the school song as a fight song.
It is our school 'symbol.
We like it very much.

The second year students will go to America from November 27th to December 1st.
We are interested in Universal Studios, Hollywood most of all.
We cannot use Japanese in America, so we have to study English hard.

We will go to Los Angeles and Richmond in fall.
The planning for this trip started last year.
Up until last year , we went to Kyoto, etc.

First year students have over 30 players.
They took part in a meeting of prefectures this year.
They practice very hard,And they often use the artificial turf.
They toured an away game to Kofu last year.
They are going to play away a lot this year,too.
English Class
We are studying English everyday.
We have 7 kinds of English class.
Oral communication Ⅰ.Ⅱ, EnglishⅠ.Ⅱ, Reading , Writing, and T.T.
We will introduce you to 3 out of 7.
First, writing is the class that learns English grammer.
EnglishⅡ is the class where reading is learned.
T.T. stands for Team Teaching.
In this class, we study English with the teacher who is a foreigner.
Everyday, we have a nice time learning.
Yui Hike
It took a very long time.
At last, we arrived at yui station.
Then, we crossed over the mountain pass.
We saw a very beautiful view.
We were impressed.
We were very tired.
All the same, we had a very good time.
Ｊapanese Ｈｉstory
We have four classes in a week.
Our teacher is Mr.Yamamoto.
We learn about Japanese History in this class.
Also, he explains about people of consequence.

He is a famous person in Japanese History.
We have to study a lot of things.

Music Class
There are two class in a week. This class is very popular, many student belong to it. The students play guiter, and also the recorder. The science class does not have to take a music class. They sing songs. The class performs a song during the culture festival. Music makes me happy!
Computer Science Class
This class uses the computers our teacher is Ms,Motiduki.
We have this class once or twice a week
We learn how to use the computer in this class
And wo practice typing many times.

Boy's Basketball
There are 21 members.
They are very friendly.
Ryohei Nagai ｉs the tallest boy in our school.
Shizuma Shukusima is a special player.
Ｈｉｓ blood type is Ａ.
They practice from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on weekdays.
Their break is Monday.
They also go to school on holidays to practice.
English class
We study English class every day.
This class is very fun . But English is difficult for me.
I want to speak English well. And I love English.
English teachers are very kind.
Our teachers names are Yamaguchi and Toby.
I think that they are good teachers.
Ｓchool history
The area was about 1.2 square kilometers.
Оn Ｍarch 17th 1980, our new school library was built.
Ｓo many students can now read a lot of books.
Ｉt has been used by many students.
Art Class
We choose from three classes.
They are art, music and calligraphy class.
We draw pictures and make sculptures in art class.
We can talk freely in this class.
In art class, they painted their own folding fans.
JRC Club
JRC stands for Junior Red Cross.
They're involved in volunteer work.
They have regular meetings once a month.
They learn how to use slings and AED.
They play with children in preschool.
They hold rummage sales when the school festival is held.
They have a christmas party with the student council and the brass band club.
They invite disabled people to the party.
They enjoy miniture.
Mountaineering club
Mountaineering club is an interesting club.
Because their activity isn't understood by other students.
This club has fourteen students.
Club members walk up hills carrying a heavy backpack to practice.
They go to the mountains once a month.
They cook a meal by themselves in the mountains.
A meal after walking is very delicious.
This year, their club could enter the Tokai contest for the first time and they won.
School Schedule
It's reading books time at 8:30.
After that, the class starts.
We must study.
One class is 65 minutes.
We must go to school before 8:30.
We have 5 classes in a day.
On Monday we have "Long Home Room" class and we have 6 classes.
After third period we have a long break.
Then we have lunch and chat with friends until 13:05.
Shimako's baseball club
Japanese Chess Club
There are 5 boys and a girl in this club.
They usually play Japanese Chess two days in a week.
Mr.Yamashita teaches them it.
They usually play it in a room next to the teacher's room.
They play it at the school festival.
Japanese Chess is almost different to American Chess.
But it is easy to play Japanese Chess !!
School Song
We learned about our school song.
We received the school song's CD during our enrollment ceremony.
Ｔhere are about 750 students in Ｓhimada High School.
Our teacher tells us that we should sing in a bigger voice.
This is our school song's words.

Science class
It is three times in a week.
The man who teaches science is Mr.Ueno.
We study in the Biology room.
We use the microscopes to see the cells.
It is very difficult for us to find them.
But we enjoy his class.
Some people study biology to go to college.
Marathon
We run next to the Oigawa river.
The girls run 5 kilometers.
TheBoys run 10kilometers.
Both boys and girl get prizes for 30 people.
But it is very difficult because many people want it.
Judo club
Judo has been practiced for over a century in Japan.
Judo is played on the Tatami.
They have two sophmores and seven juniors in the club.
They love judo very much.
The president is Taichi Kobayashi.
They almost have a first in judo.

They practice three hours on weekdays.
They practice four hours on holidays.
There is moning practice every day.
They are practicing on very hot court every day.
They are playing muscles training in rainning day.
There are five court.
They rotates use of tennis court with boys.
Photography Club
My School has a photography club.
It has three students.
It has no first year student.
They like to take pictures.
They display their pictures in the school.
They take pictures every day...... This is photography club's main work.
Home EC Club
There are 34 students in Home EC club.
We are good friends.
We gather to make cookies every Friday.
The largest event is the school festival.
Many people buy our cookies on that day.
We love cookies and also eating.
Thanks to the club,we are good at making cookies.
We will be good brides in the future.
After Graduation
Most of students go to a university after graduating from our school.
About 14 percent of the students go to a national university.
About 58 percent of the students go to a private college.
About 11 percent of the students go to a junior college.
About 10 percent of the students go to a technical college.
Some of the students get a job.
We aim to go to a higher school.
We study hard every day.
Newspaper club
There is only one student in the newspaper club.
This club meets on Friday.
The newspaper comes out three times a year.
We are looking forward and waiting for the newspaper.
It has much information.
It is very interesting.
Newspaper club is the member recruitment inside.
Calligraphy
In the calligraphy room,
they meet in their club at school every Friday.
The president is Moyuru Ogawa.
They draw with a writing brush.
There are fourteen members.
Mr.Yui is the calligraphy teacher.
They have neat handwriting.

Boy'sTennis
They practice tennis for three hours.
It is important for us to volley, smash, and stroke.
My adviser is kind.
There are three tennis courts.
We even practice tennis when it’s raining.
We are blessed with the environment.
Many members of our club go out and use the courts in the city.
You don’t only have to hit a fast ball.
It is important to decide which direction to hit the ball.
So it is OK if you have no power.
A competition is held 10Xs a year.
We win because many people are very good.
Practice is hard.
But, mostly it is fun.
So please come to the tennis club.
brass band
There are 8 boys.
There are 53 girls.
Their practice place is the bike shed.
We practice everyday except on monday.
Practice consists of part and personal exercise.
They engage in a lecture a few times a month.
The lessons are very hard.
They perform in front of all the students on the day of the school festival.
school festival
June is called Minazuki in Japan.
This is why the school festival is called Minazukisai in shimada high school.
It is held for two days.
On the first day, it is held in Oruri Hall.
There are a some chorus, the drama club, and some performances by some of the students.
On the second day, it is held in my school.
P.E.
P.E. is twice a week.
We are swimming during the summer.
P.E. is very hard in Shimada High School.
Everyone does not like P.E.
All students do a Sports Test every year.
If students can not swim 50 meters, the students do other things.
Boys and Girls wear different uniforms.

私はピアノを弾くのがすきです。小学校のときからはじめています。少し自慢ですが、 中学の時にコンクールにでました。静岡ピアノオーディションは５回奨励賞をもらいました。またグレンツェンぴあのコンクール関東大会では金賞(１番)になりました！！ またまた!ロゼピアノコンクールでは予選を通過して、すみや賞をもらいました★☆ これからもずっとピアノを続けていきたいです！！
